What Does Balance Look Like For You?

There exists a delicate dance between action and rest, a dance that nourishes and replenishes, leaving us energized and passionate about life.

Winter graciously extends an invitation for us to slow our pace, turn inward, and embrace rest.

For some, the challenge lies in resting; for others, it's in taking action.

When we attune ourselves to our authentic selves, we discover a natural rhythm - a pace that feels just right, a harmonious balance between work and rest. This equilibrium isn't something we need to search for; it effortlessly flows through us, mirroring the seamless dance of nature. Though we are inherently connected to the natural world, we've often lost touch with the rhythm of life amidst our busy schedules, work commitments, and social obligations.

How do we find balance in the 'real' world

In our efforts to keep up with schedules and socializing, we frequently push past our body's plea for rest, pushing ourselves to the point of exhaustion. Some of us have the opposite challenge and experience the desire to withdraw while yearning for acknowledgment and significance.

The first step is self-awareness. Where are you out of balance? Is it a struggle to slow down, or do you find it difficult to muster the motivation to take action? Are you caught in a cycle of constant busyness, or are you hiding away? Neither extreme is ideal.

As you identify these imbalances, approach yourself with gentle curiosity. How is this behavior serving you? When did it start, and what is it shielding you from?

Compulsive busyness doesn't arise from vibrancy; it stems from fear. Similarly, hiding and inaction don't result from laziness; they too originate from fear.

Both patterns—overaction and inaction—serve us, often without our conscious awareness of the reasons. In our culture, overaction is celebrated, overlooking its impact on our relationships, while underaction is criticized, contributing to economic challenges.

These patterns stem from our unconscious brain, the 90% that quietly dictates the course of our lives.

Your subconscious mind is operating from outdated programming that once served a purpose but is now hindering you.

The solution is simple: upgrade the programming.

This is where inner child work, hypnotherapy, and meditative modalities play a crucial role. Through a process of gentle, deep relaxation, we can illuminate outdated beliefs, delete them, and introduce new, empowering programming that supports us more effectively.

The path to healing leads from fragmentation to wholeness.

Compulsive busyness, workaholism, and an aversion to slowing down all stem from unhealed wounds. Similarly, inaction, hiding, and other forms of self-sabotage also trace back to unhealed wounds. Often, we remain oblivious to the reasons behind our patterns, but eventually, life provides painful feedback, signaling our imbalance.

Heal the wounds, upgrade the software, and holistic, balanced action will naturally follow.

2024 can be your year. Here's to finding your balance and flourishing in the dance of life!
