The Song of Love
Everything is a vibration.
That’s what I learned during my near-death experience. I name that vibration Love – it’s a sound, a feeling, an energy that we can hear and attune to while still in physical form. I want you to know that you don’t have to die to hear Love’s sweet melody.
When I was out of my body I “heard” the most beautiful music I’ve ever known. It wasn’t like listening to my favorite song, where I sing along to something outside of me. “Hearing” without a body was like being one with the Song of Love. I was literally part of the music; a note, in a realm where everything was music.
The Song of Love is the song of the Universe, and it is the creative force out of which all things have emerged. We’re immersed in it, and part of it, right now. There is absolutely no way we can ever be separate from it, even though it often feels as if we are. Our physical bodies are capable of hearing so little that I believe we are created to hear the Song of Love with an aspect of our being that is not physical. To hear the Song of Love we have to listen with our intuition, and the higher we raise our vibration the easier it becomes.
I believe the sound I was emitting, freed of my body, was the song of my soul, and it has nothing to do with how well I do or don’t sing in human form. Your soul has an equally exquisite, mesmerizing sound that is You, your contribution to the eternal song of Love, and all that exists. There is a purity, a vibration within you that is connected to the realm of Love, and that becomes present in the world through you, and only through you.
The Song of Love is the collective sound of the awakened universe. I sometimes think of it as the heartbeat of Love that reverberates through all things, and like our own heartbeat we’ve grown so accustomed to its rhythmic beat that we rarely notice it. However, if we listen to our heart with a stethoscope we hear its lub-dub sound with crystal clarity. So too can we hear the Song of Love once we decide to listen.
Sonia Choquette, a master teacher of spirituality, teaches her students to hear their inner guidance, another way of describing the Song of Love, by tuning into it, in the same way we tune into a favorite radio station. It’s playing all the time but we can’t hear it unless we tune in.
We are vibration. We may appear solid but we aren’t, nothing is. Being an expression of the vibration of Love, means every single one of us is highly intuitive. We are not disconnected from the realm of Love just because we take on human form; we are part of it. The realm of Love, the vibration of it, expresses through us. We are born knowing that, but unless someone teaches us how to keep our intuitive world fully alive, we forget there was ever a station we could once easily tune into.
Most of us have intuitive selves that have been kept on a shelf covered in so much dust and cobwebs that we think intuition is for other people, not us. That’s like saying, “Other people have noses but not me.” We simply need to dust our intuition off and start using it.
Our intuition is one powerful but simple way for us to hear Spirit’s guidance and feel loved, just as we are.
